Summary: "Exit the Installation" option is missing - when install

Severity: S2
Status: NEW
Last changed date: 2004-11-22 14:54:55
Hardware: PC
Version: Producer 11
Tracker: Installer
Project: helix-producer
Target Milestone: Beta
1) Platform Details: Linux 2.6, PIV 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM.
2) Build No. : toolsall-111604-2287.
3) Steps to Repeat:
a) Install producer successfully.
b) Again, Run the installer and try to install over existing installation.
4) Expected Result:
As per Installer Feaute Specification Section 6.4 Uninstalling Existing Installations -
"The Linux installer should not allow a new version to be over-installed on an older version.
To prevent this, the Linux installer refuses to over-install into an existing installation
w/o first uninstalling the existing installation. This works as follows:
If user attempts to install over existing installation, user is prompted if they wish to exit
the installation or uninstall "
Hence, in the above case the user will be prompted to either Uninstall the existing installation
or exit.
5) Actual Result:
There is no option for exiting the installation.
The user is only prompted to "Uninstall the existing installation".
